Project Overview: More than 100 years old, Ansley Golf Club has maintained its prestigious status as a 5 Star Platinum Club of America through deliberate planning. As the needs of the members have evolved so have club amenities. This world-class experience is one reason the club considers itself one of the most family-oriented, friendly, and fun atmospheres in Atlanta. The result of many extensive renovations, remodels and upgrades over a decade, the Club offers new views, increased outdoor space, al fresco dining, upgraded fitness centers, locker rooms and ballrooms. Through intentional planning and collaboration, Hodges & Hicks delivered on time and budget and to the satisfaction of the elite club members and leaders.
Project Scope
Multiphase renovations to historic golf club over a period of 6 years from 2014 – 2020.
Phase 1: February 2014 – August 2014. The Ansley Golf Club Williamsburg Addition consisted of a 3-story 11,200 SF addition onto the existing clubhouse and a renovation of the existing main level dining room, living room, display cooking, and bar renovation. The project included extremely high finishes and was built within a tight time frame to open the facility in time for the spring dining season. The project also included a new covered pavilion dining area with an outdoor stone fireplace.
Phase 2: January 2014 – April 2014. The Ansley Golf Club Pool Pavilion consisted of a 3,000 SF outdoor heavy timber framed pool pavilion with full bar, dining and lounging areas including a new outdoor stone fireplace and patio. The project was built on a very tight site within a narrow time frame to have the facility open for the spring pool season.
Phase 3: January 2020 – April 2020. The Ansley Golf Club City View Addition project consisted of a 3-story addition and renovation to the existing clubhouse. The project included a renovation and addition to the Fitness Center, Fitness Classrooms, Men’s Grill, Adult Dining and Family Dining facilities. The project also included 2 new exterior Verandas that overlook Midtown Atlanta.
